Getting Started with Hangar Direct

Visit hangardirect.com and click Get Started in the top-right corner. You can register using:

• Email and password: Enter your preferred email and create a strong password.
• Google sign-in: Use your existing Google account for faster registration.
• Facebook sign-in: Use your Facebook credentials to create your account.

After signing up, check your inbox for a verification code. You will be redirected to a verification page where you can enter the code sent to your email. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk folder, or request a new code from the verification page.

Some features, such as listing a hangar or booking one, may require identity verification for safety and compliance. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to submit a valid ID or additional information. Most identity checks are completed within a few hours.

A complete profile builds trust and helps the platform match you with the right people. After logging in, click the profile icon in the top-right corner, select Account, then click the My Profile / Planes card. From there you can update:

• Profile photo or logo (optional but recommended): Adds credibility for both owners and renters.
• Location: Your home airport or city. This helps tailor search results and recommendations.
• About: A brief summary of your aviation experience, the type of space you manage or the aircraft you fly.

For pilots: Add a payment method so you can book hangars quickly. Set up your aircraft profile with make, model, tail number, and dimensions.

For hangar owners: Connect your payout account through Stripe in the Payments & Payouts section so you can receive rental income.

Hangar Direct sends email notifications for booking requests, inquiries, and important updates. To set up custom hangar alerts, go to your My Profile / Planes page and scroll to the Hangar Alerts section. You can create alerts filtered by aircraft, location, rental term, and search distance. You will be notified by email when a matching hangar becomes available.

Once logged in, click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select Account to reach your dashboard. Here is what you will find:

• My Profile / Planes: Update your personal information, manage your aircraft fleet, upload insurance documents, and set up custom hangar alerts.
• My Bookings: View active, past, and pending reservations.
• Payments & Payouts: Manage payment methods, view payment history, connect a payout account, and track your earnings.
• Messenger: Communicate directly with owners or tenants through built-in chat.
• Switch to Management: Access the hosting dashboard to create and manage hangar listings, update availability, and access promotion tools.
• Help desk: Browse articles and FAQs or contact support.

Do I need to verify my identity right away?
Not necessarily. You can browse listings without verification, but booking or listing a hangar may require it.

How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. You will receive a reset link by email.

Can I use the same account as both a hangar owner and a pilot?
Yes. One account can manage hangar listings and handle bookings.

Is there a fee to create an account?
No. Creating and maintaining an account is free. Fees only apply to transactions or optional listing promotions.

With your account set up, you are ready to go. Pilots can start searching for hangars and setting up custom alerts. Owners can create their first listing in about five minutes. Airport managers and FBO operators can book a demo to explore the compliance and tenant management tools.
