Our Terms of Service require that everyone who posts photos, descriptions, or documents owns them or has permission to use them. Reporting infringement

If you believe material on Hangar Direct infringes your copyright, use the form below or email our agent. A notice must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
  • the location of the material on Hangar Direct (for example, the listing page link) with enough detail for us to find it;
  • your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a complete notice, we will remove or disable access to the material and let the user who posted it know. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, so please consider whether the use might be licensed or a fair use before you submit.

Counter-notices

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you may email a counter-notice to copyright@hangardirect.com. It must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address, and telephone number; and
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Hangar Direct may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

We will forward a complete counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We keep a record of notices against each account. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights, and may remove any listing at any time.
