Service Fees and Pricing
Pilots and tenants pay no Hangar Direct service fees. Listing on the marketplace is always free for owners. Operators choose a subscription plan that matches how many leases they manage. This article covers each of these in detail.
Pilots and tenants: no service fees
You pay the rent you agree to with the operator. Hangar Direct adds no service fees on top. Searching, sending inquiries, joining waitlists, signing leases, and managing your account are all free.
Payment processing fees
When an operator configures payment processing fees to be passed through, they are disclosed per payment method before you pay:
- ACH bank transfer: 0.8%, capped at $5
- Card: 2.9% + $0.30
ACH is usually the cheaper option for monthly rent. You can add both under Payment Methods and choose at payment time.
Owners: listing is always free
Listing hangars and tie-downs on the marketplace is free and unlimited on every plan. There is no per-listing charge and no commission on the rent you collect. Owner pricing comes from subscription plans and payout fees, described below.
Owner subscription plans
Operators pick a plan by how many long-term leases they manage:
- Free: payment collection, messaging, lease templates, unlimited listings, 1 e-sign credit per month, and up to 3 long-term leases.
- Premium: up to 5 concurrent long-term leases and 5 e-sign credits per month. A 14-day trial is available.
- Fleet / Enterprise: unlimited leases, sales-led.
Additional e-signature credits are $1 each à la carte. Plans are managed on the operator platform under Settings → Billing & Payments.
Payout fees and timing
When operators withdraw their earnings, a payout fee applies by plan:
- Free plan: 1% (minimum $2)
- Premium / Enterprise: 0.25% + $0.25
Every payout request is reviewed and approved by Hangar Direct staff within 1-2 business days; bank transfers then arrive in 1-2 days. Instant debit-card payouts are available for a 1.5% fee.
Optional: Lead Booster
Operators who want more visibility can promote listings with Lead Booster, a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime. Current plans and pricing are shown in-app on the operator platform, under the location's Leads pages.
