Compliance Dashboard: How It Works

The Compliance dashboard is a single view of insurance and document requirements across every tenant at a location. It shows which tenants are compliant, which issues are blocking, which documents are expiring, and which items are waiting on your review. This article covers each part of the dashboard.

Where to find it

In a location's sidebar, click Compliance. The page heading reads "Compliance" with the subtitle "Insurance and document requirements across every tenant at this location", and has three tabs: Overview / Tenants / Documents.

To change what's being tracked, the Compliance Setting button jumps to Settings → Location → Tenant Compliance; if nothing is configured yet, an empty state offers Set up compliance.

The Overview tab: KPIs and the Needs-attention queue

The Overview opens with a KPI row: Compliant tenants, Blocking issues, Expiring soon, and Needs your review. These summarize the location's current compliance status. When every tenant is compliant, a green banner says so.

Below it, the Needs attention queue lists problems worst-first, showing the actual failure sentence for each (e.g. a coverage shortfall in your own requirement's words) and linking to the document in question. Work the queue from top to bottom to address every open issue.

The tenant × requirement matrix

The Compliance by tenant matrix crosses every tenant against every requirement, with a six-state legend:

  • Blocking: a required check is failing
  • Warning: flagged, but not blocking
  • For review: waiting on your judgment
  • Compliant: all checks pass
  • Not submitted: nothing uploaded yet
  • Not applicable: the requirement doesn't apply to that tenant

The Tenants and Documents tabs give you the same data sliced by person and by requirement.

Reviewing a document: fix, waive, or replace

Open a flagged document and each gap appears as its own row with a Fix this action. The tenant sees the same sentence and action on their side, so both of you see the same problem described the same way.

When a shortfall is acceptable, waive that specific gap: the "Accept this shortfall?" prompt requires a reason, and waived gaps stay visible under "Previously flagged". For acceptance documents a tenant declined, choose Replace document or Re-request same document; for signature documents, Resend for signature.

Following up with tenants

Every document review page has a Message button that opens a conversation with that tenant in the messenger, with the document context included. This makes it quick to remind a tenant about an expiring certificate, for example.

Tenants also see their own status without being asked: gaps, expiring-soon warnings, and required actions appear on their facility's Compliance tab and in the "Action needed" card on their dashboard. Checks re-run on every upload and nightly for anything that expires, which keeps the dashboard current.
