Setting Up Your Aircraft Profile
Your aircraft's dimensions drive search matching, inquiry details, and whether a hangar's door fits your wings. This article covers setting up My Aircraft.
Why aircraft dimensions matter
When you search for hangars, Hangar Direct compares your saved aircraft dimensions against each hangar's door width, door height, and depth. Accurate measurements mean you only see spaces your aircraft fits, and operators receiving your inquiry know what they are accommodating.

Add an aircraft
Go to My Aircraft in your account sidebar and click Add aircraft on the "Manage fleet" card. You will fill in:

Aircraft: a type-ahead search for your make and model

Name: a nickname for the aircraft

Wingspan, Length, and Height

Tail number
Edit, feature, or remove aircraft
Each aircraft row has a menu with Edit, Make Featured, and Remove. If you fly more than one aircraft, keep them all in your fleet. The inquiry wizard asks which aircraft needs hangar space, and you can pick from your saved fleet or add a new one during the inquiry.
Your personal profile
Your name and details live separately under Profile & Password. Click Edit profile to update your first and last name, business name, about section, and location; Change Password is available inside edit mode.
Where documents like insurance live
Compliance documents (such as certificates of insurance) are managed per facility rather than attached to your aircraft profile. Open the facility from your dashboard sidebar and use its Compliance tab to see what each operator requires and to upload documents.
Get notified when a matching hangar is listed
With your aircraft saved, set up a Hangar Alert: click Add alert, pick a location, select your aircraft, and set a radius in miles and a term. You will get an email when a matching hangar is added. You can also enable SMS alerts under Notifications by adding your mobile number with consent.
