Messaging Tenants and Sending Broadcasts
Every conversation with a tenant or prospect happens in the platform messenger. This guide covers the inbox, sending to many recipients at once with Bulk Message, the organization-wide Chat Overview, and the Message buttons throughout the app that open the right conversation directly.
The location Messenger
In the operator platform, open your location's Messenger from the sidebar. It is a two-pane inbox: conversations on one side, the open thread on the other. Click New Message to start a conversation.
Messages support attachments (images and PDFs) and read receipts, which show when a tenant has seen your message.
Broadcasts with Bulk Message
To send the same message to many people, such as a facility notice or a weather advisory, use the Bulk Message dialog. Compose your message, select the recipients, and send. The dialog reports per-recipient results, showing who the broadcast went to.
Chat Overview: the org-wide picture
At the organization level, the sidebar has Chat Overview, which shows every conversation across all your locations in one place, with All and Unread tabs. A stats grid shows your response rate and average response time. Prompt replies improve the odds that a marketplace inquiry becomes a lease.
Message buttons everywhere
Message buttons appear throughout the platform on leads, leases, tenant rows, and compliance documents. Each one deep-links into the messenger with the right person already selected. For example, when you are reviewing a compliance document with a gap, the Message button on that screen opens the thread with that tenant. The same applies to a lead you want to follow up on or a waitlist entry with a question.
Troubleshooting
If messages are not reaching a tenant, check that they have activated their marketplace account. The Invite action on the Tenants page sends the activation email. If that does not resolve it, contact support.
